Cycles was inspired by a poem which I'll share below. Another theme was coming into wisdom and into myself, especially in my mid 20s as my frontal lobe developed. I was also thinking about the cyclical nature of life and its different stages (largely symbolized by the 3 owls). In her facial expression I wanted to show reflection, but also the a deep tenacity that conveys her willingness to progress past the grievances of her newfound revelations. Lastly I wanted to depict something representative of divine feminine energy. POEM EXCERPT: "At Her pinnacle of magnetic power, She pulls on the tides of Earth’s oceans, of our bodies.
